The new residence completes the Norwegian Embassy Complex in Kathmandu. Kristin Jarmund and Graeme Ferguson represented the office at the official opening that was celebrated in the open courtyard garden.

Troldsalen, the small concert hall situated by the home of composer Edvard Grieg, re-opens Friday the 15th of June. The concert hall, originally designed by Peter Helland-Hansen and Svere Lied in 1985, has now undergone first part of a thorough renovation. Read Bergens Tidene' article about our project here.

At the end of october the office celebrated the 25th anniversary of Kristin Jarmund Architects with a weeklong trip to Kathmandu.
Apart from visiting our two projects; the Norwegian Embassy and the Ambassador’s Residence, we enjoyed plenty of local culture, vernacular architecture and panoramic views of the Himalayas.

KLP Eiendom AS has now confirmed that Nordea will be one of the major tenants once the building is completed in 2016.
