|Location:||Helsfyr, Oslo, Norway|
|Project scope:||Commercial multipurpose buildingFull contract|
|Budget:||70 mill. NOK|
Located east of the city centre, in an area with conflicting architectural styles, the client wanted an efficient leasable building for, then, undefined leaseholders. This is reflected in the juxtaposition of the volumes; the base containing multipurpose areas with the possibility of double height spaces whereas the blocks contains office functions.
The project contextually has clear references to the surrounding buildings, despite its independent architectural expression. The defined base strengthens the urban qualities through its direct references to the surrounding street pattern, and the stepped section of the volumes reflect and link the varying heights of the built surroundings.
